Our mission
At Movement is Strength, our mission is to empower individuals to overcome pain and reclaim their physical potential through movement-based strength training and hands-on therapy. We specialise in functional rehabilitation for all types of musculoskeletal conditions, using gym-based strength training, real-world movement strategies and massage therapy to alleviate pain, restore mobility, and enhance performance.
We believe that strength is not just about lifting weights - it’s about building resilient, functional bodies that move with purpose, power, and confidence.
Our vision
To redefine rehabilitation by making functional strength the foundation of recovery - helping people of all backgrounds move without pain, perform at their best, and live stronger, more capable lives.
We envision a world where movement is not feared but embraced, and where pain is not managed but overcome through education, empowerment, and purposeful training.
Our team
At Movement is Strength, our team is the heart of everything we do. Each of our rehabilitation specialists brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, strength training knowledge, and a passion for functional movement. With backgrounds in sport rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and massage therapy, we work collaboratively to deliver personalised care that treats the root cause of pain - not just the symptoms.
We’re not just therapists - we’re coaches, motivators, and movement educators. Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, or striving to improve performance, our team is here to guide you every step of the way.

Coaching Powerlifting to competitive level
Experience working within elite sport and strength-based performance environments has developed a strong understanding of load management, performance, injury risk, and rehabilitation. Working as a Sport Rehabilitator with the England Amputee Football Association and Burnley FC has provided experience supporting athletes through the physical demands of training, competition, recovery, and return to play.
Alongside this, coaching Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting to a competitive level has developed a detailed understanding of strength development, movement quality, injury prevention, and how to safely adapt training around pain, injury, and individual limitations. This combination of rehabilitation and performance experience helps create a practical, exercise-focused approach to helping individuals move better, build resilience, and perform with confidence.
